On the beach in California I noticed some tiny, pearl like spots under my four year olds arm. There were about 5 spots then and about 8 by the time I showed a doctor. My doctor sent me to a dermatologist and by then there were 13 spots. The Dermatologist put some sort of acid on the bumps as my son giggled as squirmed. Then they covered this with plain clear packaging tape. I was instructed to remove the tape after four hours and wash the area. T... read more (Boni, Molluscum No More treatment user)

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter has been battling the skin disorder (Molluscum) for well over 6 months. After trips to the pediatrician and dermatologist and using the medicines prescribed only made it worse. It spread and was very red, looking as though it might scar. We've been using the product Molluscum No More for about 10 days and it is working wonderfully! There are no more on her face, and those on her body are just disappearing. Thank you! What people say about Molluscum No More

Molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection of the skin. It appears as small, pearl-shaped spots that are pink in color. An infection of molluscum contagiosum may occur at any age but is most often found in children. Molluscum contagiosum is not considered to be a serious disease and usually clears up within a few months. It can, however, in some of the more serious cases, last for up to two years. Though molluscum is not a serious infection, it is one that can cause unnecessary stress for the person it infects sending them on a mad search for molluscum information.

Use Molluscum No More to Treat Molluscum

In your search for molluscum information, you should note that molluscum contagiosum is a virus. Viruses by definition are microscopic and are too small to be seen by the naked eye. They cannot multiply on their own. They have to invade a 'host' cell and take over its machinery in order to be able to make more virus particles.

Molluscum is an infection caused by the poxvirus. The infection can result from direct contact, including sexual contact, or by indirect contact, such as sharing towels, or from swimming pools. The incubation period from the time of initial contact until the molluscum or spots appear is anything from two to eight weeks. In most cases, a person will not begin their search for molluscum information until they are already infected and the symptoms have appeared which of course means it’s too late to prevent the infection and to focus more on a treatment or remedy.

The most recognizable symptoms noted in the most accessed molluscum information are pink, pearl-like spots on the face, arms and legs, which are most common in size of 1 to 5mm in diameter. If the infection is sexually transmitted, the molluscum spots can be seen on the genitals, thighs and the lower part of the stomach.

Of course if you are currently infected, the molluscum information you are searching for is the why and how long will this last! The best advice anyone can give someone who suffers from molluscum is to be patient, if you take proactive measures and apply the recommended ointments, the spots will disappear in time. Make special note to wash your hands after having touched any of the molluscum spots and never share towels. Try to avoid scratching the molluscum spots as this will only irritate the situation and make matters worse.

Molluscum information is a broad scope and some bits of molluscum information can be quite frightening. If you have serious concerns or reservations you should seek your healthcare provider as soon as possible. Typically a trained medical professional can make the diagnosis on a visual examination alone.

In most cases of molluscum contagiosum, there is no treatment that may be recommended, as it does tend to heal spontaneously. In those cases where the examination and personal molluscum information gathered would indicate the larger and more rare of cases, the skin may be scraped or frozen to help the patient rid themselves of the virus more quickly. Antiseptic may also be applied to the affected areas if a local infection occurs which shows as painful red areas around the molluscum spots.

In any case, it is advised to avoid any attempts at gathering molluscum information to promote a self-diagnosis and potential treatment regimen. In today’s world where all information, not just the molluscum information is so readily available on computer networks everywhere, many people make attempts at a self-diagnosis. Although some sources of molluscum information may be true to fact, many are also guilty of old and outdated molluscum information. To insure that you are applying all the most updated molluscum information, you may wish to make special notes or search a large number of resources and present information gathered from your search to your healthcare provider for their recommendation on further treatments.

There are a great many websites that offer pictures to go along with the molluscum information they are providing. Keep in mind that in many cases, these are worst-case scenarios of molluscum infections and should not cause alarm or stress of thinking this will be what your own individual case will result in.

Molluscum contagiosum information is available, you just have to be diligent in your search and obtain a professional diagnosis for your individual case in order to secure the proper treatment to eliminate these pesky spots that now appear on your skin. Use common sense when dealing with any skin infection, whether you are seeking molluscum information or information on one of a variety of other skin conditions. Consult your healthcare provider or dermatologist before leaping into any type of treatment to avoid adverse reaction or the potential of making matters worse.
