Wart therapy

Warts are an age-old problem our grandparents were concerned and embarrassed by them also. Warts are benign skin tumors caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). This virus is passed from a person that is infected with (HPV), to a person that is not infected. Even though the infected person is in the process of treating their warts with selected wart therapy they are still contagious.

Common warts are flesh colored hard bumps, often-found on hands, and fingers of children. Warts are easily spread from one child to another by touch, if the child bites their nails, or hangnails the warts will spread. A health care provider can recommend a wart therapy to help control the biting and warts also.

Flat warts, are most common on the backs of hands, face, and legs they are spread by shaving, and causal contact with an infected person. Your health care provider is best equipped for treating these warts with wart therapy. Some over the counter wart therapy creams, and ointments my leave you scared or worse.

Plantar warts, when found on the weight bearing part of the foot are extremely painful, without the use of wart therapy. These warts are gray or brown in color, with a tiny black dot in the center. The black dot is a capillary that carries blood to the wart. They have been compared to an iceberg, in that the wart is twice the size beneath the skin. Health care providers usually perform a surgical procedure to cut out the warts before they spread. Wart therapy will be used following the procedure to help minimize outbreaks.

Plantar wart virus thrives in damp, moist places such as, public showers, pool areas, and locker rooms. They also thrive in your shower at home, and on the floors in the bathroom, and the warm moist grass on the lawn. Safe guard your family by using thongs in public places also around the home. While teaching your family to never use another person’s towel, shoes, or clothing, you help to safe guard them. Use a disinfectant cleaner and spray, to clean the bathroom and shower floors. Applying these safe guards is an affective form of wart therapy.

Anogenital warts are most often sexually transmitted; these warts are STD’s sexually transmitted diseases. Sexual partners can infect each other, being completely unaware that they are infected themselves. Men, often do not have outward sings of being infected. Women, infected with the virus in the cervix area or vagina may not be aware of the virus either. When the virus is not detected, and you go without wart therapy in a rare case cancer may occur. Women need to have a pap smear once a year to protect themselves against STD’s and cancer.

If hpv is found the health care provider will provide wart therapy to help control your outbreak and the pain it causes. Men should be checked once a year, to make sure they are not infected with the hpv virus or cancer. To ease both partners’ minds they should go and see the health care provider together. Wart therapy will help control outbreaks, and make life less painful.

When a partner finds that they are infected with STD’s this does not mean that they have been unfaithful. The HPV virus may remain dormant for years before they have an outbreak. This is the why it is so important to be tested once a year for STD’s not only are you protecting yourself you are also protecting your partner. If a partner from your past was infected you will be also, as will everyone that you are sexually active with now and in the future. Wart therapy can enable you to live with the virus, as normally as possible.

Partners can minimize the risk of genital (HPV) by using a condom, although this is not 100% safe. The entire infected area may not be covered with the condom. Abstinence is the only reliable means of avoiding genital warts infection. There are 20 million std infected people in the United States, with the number growing by 1 million per year. All of these people live normal lives with wart therapy.

Once you are infected with HPV it is with you for life. Some people never have an outbreak, or they may just have one. This does not mean that they are not infected they are infected for life also. Talk to a health care provider about wart therapy for your specific needs. Never use an over the counter, or home remedy, wart therapy on your genital area they may cause irreversible damage.

Because there are no medications currently available that cure or eradicate the HPV virus, we will have to educate ourselves on wart therapy. Aggressive or prolonged wart therapy usually produces long lasting eradication of the wart tumors. The wart virus may linger for years in normal appearing skin in dormant form.
