Sexually transmitted diseases (STD)’s can no longer be something that we choose not to talk about. No one is immune to STD’s; there are 20 million cases in the United States. Rectal warts grow at a faster rate when a women is pregnant, therefore they may rupture and cause serious damage to both mother and baby. A baby can become infected while coming through the birth canal, or from the hands of the health care provider.
Counseling is extremely important; it will teach patients that they are not alone. They will learn of support groups that can make an enormous difference in the way they feel about themselves. Those infected with the rectal wart virus will learn that the earlier treatment is started the more control they will have over it. Rectal wart treatment is a prolonged ordeal to eliminate the warts that more then likely will return. While watching the daily diet and exercising, most people see less frequent outbreaks. A rectal warts cure is unavailable at this time.
