Anyone of childbearing years who hopes to have children and who also has HPV should be aware of the possibility of infertility and HPV. Infertility and HPV are a real issue, because human reproduction is such a fragile process that anything that upsets the human body can interfere with the ability of that body to reproduce. If the male body is not at the peak of health, infertility and HPV can be linked because sperm will decrease in numbers, and the sperm that are produced will have a lessened motility than sperm that would be produced by the same man who was not infected with HPV. Infertility and HPV can also be an issue if the HPV sufferer is a woman, because conception depends on the sperm getting through the tiny opening of the cervix in order to make their way into the womb. If the woman has a cervix that is inflamed because of HPV infection, infertility and HPV can be an issue. And of course, if both partners suffer from HPV, the issue of infertility and HPV is exponentially increased.
