The symptoms of malignant melanoma usually begin as spotted moles with more than one color combination, rough surface, uneven edges, and bigger than a pea size. These moles have do not heal and become red or bleed. It will then become crusty on the surface and these are often called scaly moles. Melanoma can be called-funny moles or ugly moles. The indication of scaly moles is a sign alerting the possibility that the moles are turning into skin cancer. The changes in these moles makes a big difference in the appearance of their skin and the usual normal, harmless moles will change its size, color, texture, appearance and shape which are common representations of skin cancer.<br />
