Scale moles are considered symptoms of abnormal moles. The symptoms of malignant melanoma usually begin as spotted moles with more than one color combination, rough surface, uneven edges, and bigger than a pea size. Prevention of moles to become a melanoma is possible by checking the skin regularly. Anything unusual such as scaly moles or other symptoms warrants a doctor’s visit. In melanoma, the earlier it is found and treated the better are the chance for a cure. Find out if your have a family history of skin cancer as melanoma runs in the family. You own risk may be higher than especially if you have unusual moles or scaly moles present on the skin. Sun protection is one of the preventive measures in avoid the growth of melanoma on the pre existing and new moles.
