If you see alot of moles in young children you can say that their parents may have lots of moles too. Alot of moles in young children are influenced by genes and heredity. However once these young children go out in the sun , the sun exposure increases the risk of moles to grow and the moles will increase in number and starts to show up darker than the skin color. In a more responsible way, give them a bottle of sunscreen lotion SPF 15 or higher that they could use when they wanted to play under the sun. Tell them to wear clothes with sleeves and wear long pants, hats, to reduce the direct exposure of their skin to the sun.

You can also teach your children to be proactive in looking for moles in their skin that are new. Tell them to check for moles that become darker, changes in size, shape and color. If the have moles that itches and become irritated and swollen, they have to report to you so that you can have proper action and treatment as early as possible.
